JJ Sterry is a London-born singer/songwriter, fusing 'insightful word-play and an experimental folk style' (Earmilk). JJ records on a converted lightship on the River Thames with George Ackerley - producer for Greentea Peng & Borough Council. He has toured extensively as lead singer of British post punk icons Gang Of Four in the last few years, singing on all their most recent releases. JJ's work is Influenced by John Martyn, Bert Jansch and the prominent figures of the late 60's English folk revival, via transatlantic artists such as Kurt Vile, Townes Van Zandt and Adrianne Lenker. His debut EP, 'Dragonfly' is due for release in summer '25, alongside solo and full band live shows across the UK.
