Terence Collie Trio

Pianist and composer Terence Collie has steadily built a reputation as a distinctive voice on the UK jazz scene. Known for his lyrical touch, sophisticated harmonic sensibility, and deep groove, his work bridges contemporary jazz with cinematic and classical influences.

18 Nov 2025
@12.00pm

Over the last few years, Collie has released a series of critically acclaimed albums, most recently Elements (2025), which brought together a jazz trio, strings, and spoken word in an ambitious suite exploring the natural world. His previous albums, 384,400 (2023) – a quartet album featuring his trio with saxophonist Roberto Manzin – and Reminiscent (2023), a reflective and intimate solo piano recording, also received praise for their originality and emotional depth.

For this special afternoon performance, Terence is joined by two of the UK’s most accomplished jazz musicians: Nick Lenner-Webster on double bass and Chris Nickolls on drums. Both long-time collaborators form a tightly knit, expressive rhythm section that brings Collie’s music vividly to life. The trio’s intuitive interplay, subtle dynamics, and rhythmic invention allow for rich improvisation while staying rooted in strong melodic storytelling.
