Film composer, arranger, conductor and saxophonist John Altman has had a truly remarkable career. His many awards including a BAFTA, Emmy and Golden Globe, with a body of work including music for films such as Monty Python’s ‘Life of Brian’, Titanic, Bond films ‘Goldeneye’ and ‘No Time to Die’ and others of this calibre.
His notable arrangements have appeared on 19 platinum albums, including George Michael’s ‘Faith’, while writing for the likes of Simple Minds, Van Morrison, Bjork, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner & Tom Jones. But his jazz bona fides are equally impressive, playing with Chet Baker, Slim Gaillard, Quincy Jones, Bud Freeman and more as well as leading the big band around the world. With a programme entirely made up of John's original compositions and arrangements plus re-imaginings of some of his biggest successes, this is a show not to be missed!
