Hosted by pianist Jamie Safir with three of the UK’s finest jazz voices on rotation - Natalie Williams, Emma Smith and Georgia Cécile - the evening offers a platform for rising vocal talent to share the stage at one of the world’s most iconic jazz clubs.
Host and bandleader Jamie Safir is equally at home in the jazz world as on international pop stages. Jamie has worked with jazz artists from Laufey, Veronica Swift and Judi Jackson to pop acts such as Kylie Minogue and Will Young. Jamie's versatility and flair make him the perfect musical host for this new series.
For over 20 years, Ronnie Scott’s has run London’s most famous instrumental jam session. Now, for the first time, singers are invited to take centre stage. Aspiring vocalists can apply by submitting performance clips to Natalie, Emma, Georgia or Jamie for consideration, with selected singers given their moment to shine on the Upstairs at Ronnie’s stage.
Expect high standards, world-class hosting, and an audience of true music lovers. This is no karaoke night, it’s a showcase for the best jazz vocalists in London (and beyond).
