Since graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, she has become an in-demand vocalist with a distinctive voice that has captured the attention of critics and audiences alike.
“IBUKA” is Ineza's debut full-length album, a deeply personal and musically adventurous project dedicated to her adoptive mother, Francine. Drawing on her journey from Rwanda to Belgium and now London, Ineza channels themes of loss, healing and personal growth into eight original songs, each shaped by her emotionally charged vocals and honest storytelling. The album builds on the foundations of contemporary jazz, blending in neo-soul, folk, and soul influences. Ineza’s writing combines rich jazz harmonies with memorable, heartfelt lyrics. The interplay between her voice and saxophone creates a unique conversational dynamic, while improvisation from the band ensures each track feels alive and immediate.
