Artisjus, Junior Prima & two-time Orszáczky Award-winning pianist and composer Krisztián Oláh is one of the most exciting voices in European jazz today. Bursting onto the scene at just 17 with the Soloist Prize at the Târgu Mureș International Jazz Competition, Oláh has since earned acclaim at major festivals and competitions across Europe—including a third prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival, where he performed alongside legends such as Al Jarreau, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Joe Sanders.
By his early twenties, Oláh had already collected a string of prestigious accolades, becoming the first Hungarian jazz pianist to reach the finals of the Thelonious Monk International Piano Competition in Washington, D.C. in 2018. His list of honours now includes multiple Orszáczky Awards (2017, 2022), the Artisjus Prize (2022, 2025), and the Creative Artist Prize of the Cziffra Festival (2023).
