One of the most influential figures in British soul, Omar has spent more than three decades building a body of work that has helped shape the sound of UK soul and R&B. Since the release of his landmark debut There's Nothing Like This in 1990, he has recorded a series of acclaimed albums including Music, Best By Far, Sing (If You Want It) and The Man, earning multiple MOBO Awards and an international following along the way.

Beyond the awards and collaborations, Omar’s legacy is profound: a trailblazer who proved that Black British soul could be both globally respected and uncompromisingly rooted in local culture. As Questlove once observed, 'If you love D’Angelo, Erykah Badu or Jill Scott, you owe a debt to Omar'.
