His musical career has seen a fascinating musical fusion of salsa, jazz, funk and afro-Cuban together with his expressive, poetic lyrics about Cuba and the Cuban people.
Havana D’Primera is a Cuban timba band directed and founded by Alexander Abreu in 2007. They are widely recognized as one of the most popular bands to emerge in Cuba in the last decade and their leader is considered one of the most versatile Cuban musicians who throughout his career has created a fascinating musical fusion of salsa, jazz, funk and Afro-Cuban.
