Sad House Daddy presents
Biddle Bros, E5 0QR , [Venue Details]Sad House Daddy presents Nick Frater, James McKean & The Blueberry Moon and House Above The Sun live at Biddle Bros. Free entry!
House Above The Sun is a five-piece guitar band whose music can be described as loose-limbed indie rock steeped in blues, country and folk rock. Distinguished by rich male/female vocal harmonies and inventive guitar motifs, their melodic and poetic songs are played with a soulful stripped down feel, ranging from bittersweet balladry to tightly-wound guitar epics.
James McKean & The Blueberry Moon are a country-gospel-soul roots rock band. They have released three albums - 'Where The River Runs Both Ways' (2011), 'No Peace For The Wicked' (2016) and 'Borders (Cruel Expectation)' (2020) - and four EPs, the latest being this year's 'Songs, Prayers, Lies.'
British multi-instrumentalist and producer Nick Frater lives in a land of 60s/70s sophisticated-pop, a self-confessed obsession with vintage recording techniques, and a ‘more is more’ approach to production. Based in Croydon, England, Frater’s music has drawn frequent comparisons to Bacharach, as well as Cheap Trick, Jellyfish, Beatles and Elliott Smith.
