Even if a bit exaggerated, Matti Klein could also be called the "Berlin Groove God", considering how many successes Klein has celebrated not only with his former band Mo'Blow, as musical director of Ed Motta, but now also with his own trio, the Matti Klein Soul Trio. Since their first show back in 2018 the trio groove-soul-sparked through the world in its usual style: Borneo Jazz Festival, Jazz Baltica, Jazz& The City Salzburg, Pori Jazz festival Finland, UK- & Spain- & South Africa tours and many others in trio-reinform, but also in gala style, whether with symphony orchestra or guest soul-popstar singer Max Mutzke... Groove & Soul for everyone!
Indeed, the Matti Klein Soul Trio brings together three like-minded soul mates in the name of groove, who forge an independent trail beyond the much-travelled paths of Hammond organ trios. The warm Wurlitzer sounds of band leader Matti Klein, who has already graced the most important jazz clubs in New York, Tokyo, London, and Paris with the funk-jazz formation Mo' Blow and the Brazilian yacht-pop heavyweight Ed Motta, are at the centre of the sound.
