With new members, keyboardist Tim Gardner and drummer Pascal Karier, alongside band founders Edmund Kenny (vocals, electronics) and Lawrence Howarth (guitar), their recent experiences of touring heavily after their 2023 album Violet Drive shaped the recording sessions of their new album. Edmund felt a desire for more proximity with listeners, reflecting a shift in how he approached the recording process.
