This special event honours the legendary contributions of iconic artists such as Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Runa Laila, Sabina Yasmin and other luminaries whose music continues to resonate across generations and borders.
Through live performances by talented young local and emerging artists from Sharothi’s music school, and special guest artists, journey through the golden melodies that have shaped the cultural soundscape of India, Bangladesh, and beyond. From soul-stirring classical renditions to nostalgic film hits, this evening is a celebration of legacy, emotion, and unity through music.
Sharothi Arts Bio
Sharothi Arts work to create opportunities to learn about the experiences of people, struggles of communities and the visions of the different ethnic and cultural groups.
Their mission and passion is to identify insidious cultural barriers, and then to transcend them— to gallop across them like fearless charioteers, creating a glorious symbiosis of disparate societies and cultures. They believe that cultural sovereignty can be retained, even while fruitful amalgamation of ideas and traditions takes place.
