James first gained recognition uploading acoustic covers and original songs to YouTube in 2012, building a dedicated fanbase drawn to his music, comedy, and relatable personality. In 2020, he officially launched his independent music career with the release of Slow Down and has since amassed over 20 million streams.
Following a string of successful singles, James meticulously crafted Bitter Tongues, his first major body of work. Inspired by artists like Phoebe Bridgers, The Strokes, and The 1975, the EP is a genre-fluid, theatrical exploration of heartbreak, love, sexuality, and identity in the digital age.
