The first part of this show will be a gathering for an Ancestral communal listening session with Michael Mwenso. This special family offering is a warm and inclusive session for families to learn and listen together through music, stories and the spirit of our shared cultural roots with inspiration from Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald.
Part two will be led by brilliant tenor saxophonist and Musical Director Ruben Fox with a dynamic band of today’s rising stars coming together to honour three of the greatest women in jazz and blues: Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald.
