London’s Tropical Pioneers Da Lata

The Jazz Cafe, NW1 7PG , [Venue Details]

A high-energy fusion of Afro-Brazilian rhythms, soul, jazz-funk, and trip hop.

Sunday,
23 Nov 2025
@7.00pm

London’s original global groove trailblazers are back to celebrate 25 years of ground-breaking sound.

The brainchild of producer Chris Franck and DJ/broadcaster Patrick Forge, Da Lata emerged from the vibrant intersection of London club culture and Brazilian influence in the late ‘90s. They combine world-influences with the melting pot of their native city, carving out a space that was equal parts sun-drenched and rhythmically global.

Known for deeply spiritually uplifting live shows and a long list of heavyweight collaborators, from Tony Allen to Jhelisa, Bernie Worrell to Mayra Andrade, Da Lata’s return is both a homecoming and a celebration of one of the UK’s most iconic and enduring musical forces.

*This event is part of the EFG London Jazz Festival*
