Kahlla + Support
Folklore, E2 7QL , [Venue Details]German-born, London-based singer/songwriter kahlla returns to London for a headline show at Folklore to celebrate the release of her upcoming EP 'matters of the heart pt II'.
From the warped guitars of Nilüfer Yanya, to the understated story-telling of Jimmy Eat World, to the pop sensibility of Lola Young - kahlla’s songs often tiptoe the line between alt and pop, upbeat and melancholy, to find an indie sound that is introspective and distinctly her own.
With placements on New Music Friday UK, Fresh Finds, Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing and 500k+ streams, kahlla continues to cement her place in the London alternative scene. Her upcoming EP ‘matters of the heart, pt II’ is her strongest work to date - the second half of a concept series - and merges themes around love, heartbreak, repair, and self-reflection into a rich tapestry backed by soft vocals, wobbly guitars and driving beats.
