This session is a release party for to you they are bird, to me they are voices in the forest's new album Primordia, released on tape/digital via Sucata Tapes in October 2025.
to you they are birds, to me they are voices in the forest is a collaborative project between Cuban multidisciplinary artist Daiyen Jone and Norwegian producer/sound artist Knut Jonas Sellevold. The duo released their first album on cassette/digital via the Bergen-based label Vibrant Matter in May 2025. Their second release Primordia is due in October 2025 on Sucata Tapes. The two releases fuse the duo’s diverse musical backgrounds, from Cuban traditional music and ambient field recordings to 4th world electronica, and global dance music.
