Pictish Trail
The Social, W1W 7JD , [Venue Details]Following a sell-out run of shows in Edinburgh's Leith Cricket Club, Pictish Trail brings his series An Evening With Pictish Trail... to London for a special solo performance.
Armed with an acoustic guitar, a sampler, and possibly a jar of ooze, the Eigg-based psych-pop adventurer will perform songs from his forthcoming album, LIFE SLIME - a sticky, shimmering swirl of sound and slime. Expect tenderness, weirdness, and a generous dollop of goo.
"One of my favourite artists." - Lauren Laverne, BBC 6 Music
Support comes from Firestations, the London art-pop ensemble whose forthcoming album Many White Horses (Lost Map Records, 2025) charts a sea-soaked voyage through the Scottish Hebrides. Mixing hushed acoustics, dreamlike harmonies and warm, textured production, their set drifts between hypnotic folk and alt-pop shimmer - the sound of songs written at sea and dreamt back on land.
Throughout the evening, Alexis Taylor (of Hot Chip) will be on the decks, spinning an eclectic selection of cosmic pop, offbeat electronics and tender oddities - the perfect soundtrack for this intimate night of adventurous sounds at The Social.
