Raised in the Orkney Islands, Drever has carved out a unique place at the intersection of traditional folk and modern acoustic music, as a solo artist and as one third of the award-winning trio Lau.
Sammy debuted his music career with his single “Love Me No More” featuring JLS star Oritsé Williams, reaching its first play on Kiss Xtra. Sammy continued collaborating and has worked with the artists such as Ayo Beatz, S1mba, Geko and A7s.
With his new track ‘Sleep’ he has collaborated with A7s and Ayo Beatz to create a dance, afrohouse record that brings a party, yet vulnerable feel to get people resonating with his words, whilst getting lost with in the music. The dark moody piano chords provide the foundation to allow the the textures of both the vocals and the synth to complement each other. Whilst being taken on this journey of movement with the percussion and drums.
