Herne Hill Velodrome Fundraiser: Texoprint + LIPWORMS + Rockpool Dramas
Rough Trade East, E1 6QL , [Venue Details]Indie in Town UK & Rough Trade are very excited to host an event at Rough Trade East, showcasing three amazing bands, with all profits going towards the Herne Hill Velodrome Foundation - a group of volunteers helping to make cycling accessible for all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
Each donation helps support youth programs and community outreach initiatives, ensuring the legacy of this track continues.
On the music side, we’ll have two fantastic Dutch bands coming over to perform, who are joined by one UK band on the line-up. We call this a classic ‘Dutch sandwich’. The artist Alastair Knowles-Lenoir (aka Handsforfeet) will also be hosting a live screenprinting session on the night.
Texoprint (NL): Texoprint is a noise rock trio known for their intense live shows and uncompromising sound. With a mix of high speed and loud volumes, they create music where sharp guitar tones and relentless rhythms form a powerful, immersive whole.
LIPWORMS (UK): South Coast quartet LIPWORMS make jagged, high-energy techno-psych. Surrounded by a sea of cables, they create chaotic soundscapes of pulsating grooves, blistering distortion and relentless, hypnotic rhythms. Music that teeters between control and collapse.
Rockpool Dramas (NL): Art pop alt rock from Amsterdam. Rockpool Dramas makes guitar pop music that is slightly singed at the edges. The four piece combines alt-rock and americana stylings with fuzzed out power pop and versatile songwriting.
