Konyikeh
Servant Jazz Quarters, N16 8JN , [Venue Details]The London-born, Essex-raised artist is an astonishing singer with a deft talent as both a writer and a multi-instrumentalist – the result is songs that stir something deep within and hold you.
Now, on her new EP, Cinere – a riff on the Latin ex cinere, which translates to “from the ashes” – it’s a voice that finds her soaring, more assured and more arresting than ever.
