Pizza Express Jazz Club, W1D 3RW , [Venue Details]Hakan Başar, who was born in 2004 and started playing the piano at the age of 8, continued his studies with his father, who is a guitarist, after short private lessons.
In this process, he made the first jazz piano studies with the curriculum of jazz pianists such as Walter Norris, Clare Fisher, Noah Baerman, Bill Dobbins, Bill Cunliffe, Andy LaVerne. Afterwards, he completed the second part of his studies by studying "Jazz Piano" styles of Michel Petrucciani, Oscar Peterson, Keith Jarrett, Hank Jones, Bill Evans, Tommy Flanagan, Kenny Barron, Sonny Clark, Art Tatum, Scott Joplin, Thelonious Monk, Chick Corea and developing his etudes.
Young and rising star jazz pianist Hakan Başar is returning once again to London and the Pizza Express Jazz Club, the starting point of his international jazz journey. Hakan will be joined by Michelangelo Scandroglio on double bass and Bernardo Guerra on drums. The group will perform songs from their hard bop and modern jazz repertoire, as well as tracks from their new album, Maiden Voyage, which they recorded together.
As with the previous two concerts, Hakan Başar Trio will once again welcome you with their enthusiastic music at PizzaExpress Soho.
