Jamboree, WC1X 9HH , [Venue Details]A night of raging, red-blooded Latino brilliance and racing libidos at Jamboree to mark St. Valentines night, fuelled by the sultry Peruvian chicha, cumbia, salsa and merangue of Imperio Bamba and the Venezuelan va-va-voom of Luzmira Zerpa!
Born from migrational nostalgia in North London, headliners Imperio Bamba create a ritual for liberating the body from the sense of distance, pushing for togetherness. Imperio Bamba’s influences span their Latin American roots and beyond, with rhythms colouring their unpredictable sound” – Sounds and Colours
In support, Luzmira Zerpa is a prolific Venezuelan singer, songwriter, healer and guardian of ancient song traditions whose performances weave Venezuelan and Latin folk traditions with African rhythms, Afrobeat and more!
