St James's Church Piccadilly, W1J 9LL , [Venue Details]Porcupine Productions return to St James's Church, 197 Piccadilly, London, W1J 9LL with a new production of Purcell's classic opera Dido and Aeneas and Trial by Jury, the irreverent one act operetta from Gilbert and Sullivan.
Based on the Aeneid, Dido and Aeneas follows the tragic story of Dido, the Queen of Carthage, and her ill-fated love for the Trojan hero, Aeneas, and is performed, as originally composed, for an all-female cast.
