Opera Holland Park, W8 6LU , [Venue Details]Central to this series is the operatic repertoire retold through song, and the support of young emerging talent, partnered with established artists. This year, three recitals and a masterclass will be presented.
Down the rabbit hole: 22 June, 7pm Madeline Boreham and Robert Murray, favourites at OHP, join Dylan Perez to tumble down into an imagining of Lewis Carroll’s seminal novel, Alice’s Adventures Under Ground. The programme explores the nonsensical prose of the novel as well as influences in Carroll’s life and creativity including works by Elgar, Walton and their contemporaries.
A Public Masterclass: 24 June 4pm Join us in the afternoon at as Louise imparts her knowledge to the OHP Young Artists in a public masterclass before her evening performance.
The silence between: 24 June, 8pm An evening with star soprano Louise Alder, pianist Dylan Perez, and OHP Young Artists perform works by Mozart, Haydn and Mendelssohn.
Freedom lies in being bold: 26 June, 8pm An evening of American music inspired by La fanciulla del West. Cowboys and love stories meld as we explore American values and history. Soprano Olivia Boen joins Julien Van Mellaerts and Dylan Perez to perform works by Copland, Previn and Berstein.
