This year, London will be part of the 50th anniversary celebration with a special concert featuring special guests.
The co-founders, Israel Romero (known as “El Pollo Isra,”), is a master accordionist whose skills and charismatic stage presence have been central to the group’s success, and the late Rafael Orozco a gifted singer with a voice that captivated audiences. The group created many stars in the genre, notably Jean Carlos Centeno and Jorge Celedon.
Over the last five decades, Binomio de Oro has released a string of hits that solidified their place in Colombian music history. Their extensive repertoire and influence have made them ambassadors of Vallenato music internationally, and their performances remain as energetic and passionate as ever, ensuring that the legacy continues to thrive.
