The evening begins with an in-depth sit-down conversation, where Maxwell will openly share the stories, challenges, growth, and defining moments that have shaped his career and inspired his new body of work. Expect honesty, reflection, and insight into the mindset behind Emotional Intelligence.
In the second half of the show, the energy rises as Maxwell D takes to the stage with a live band, performing a powerful set of classic hits alongside new material from the album.
Born in Dulwich, South London, Maxwell D’s journey began with early influences from his father, Natty B of Choice FM (now Capital XTRA). At just 17, he won an MC competition on KOOL FM, launching what would become a groundbreaking career.
From charting UK Garage anthem “Serious” to his time with the influential Pay As You Go Cartel, collaborations with artists including Ms. Dynamite, Ludacris, and appearances alongside Kanye West, Maxwell has consistently shaped and influenced UK music culture.
