An ID Signal
Brixton Jamm, SW9 6LH , [Venue Details]An Id Signal started performing live as early as 2006, when the band released their debut album “Known Strangers” via Chisel My Records. Their presence can ever since be traced from school performance halls, factory warehouses, to festive street and underground parties.
The band struck out a rather unconventional creative path, possibly hindered by their “technical improficiency”, or an obsession with language. Their music is at the same time unabashedly raw and highly rational, two seemingly opposing traits. While the times had failed to define them, their distinct sound has left a lasting imprint in the minds of those who care to listen.
Critics had described their style as post-hardcore or emo rock imbued with Asian sensibility, while fans recognise them for their “soul punk” sound, their enigmatic live performances, and their ever-evolving stage persona.
2025 ,the band released their third album, “The Path Where Grief and Joy Intersect” by Hong Kong's indie music label "UN TOMORROW", 12 years since their previous effort “Between public and secret”.
