Charlie Havenick, a multi-instrumentalist for numerous LA bands, steps to the forefront in her own project. Occupying the space between sea shanties and maudlin shoegazing, Havenick's debut record, Best Boy Electric, perfectly blends indie rock and slowcore aesthetics rage against folky, orchestral sincerity.
Now firmly established as a 3-piece, Visit Me has been a slowly expanding project of phantom pop that started where willowy melodies wisp gently over wraithy drones and skeletal ostinato. Now drifting into more sunlit sounds, a beautiful darkness still remains, ending up with tunes that hit a kind of uneasy emotional balance.
