One of the UK’s leading South Asian dance companies, Sujata Banerjee Dance Company, takes to the stage with 75 intergenerational Kathak dancers to celebrate 75 years of the Southbank Centre.
Opening the show is Geetanjali Academy of Fine Arts with Vocal Symphony: a captivating journey through the four seasons, weaving Indian classical singing with harmonies and textures from classical and contemporary sources of inspiration.
A special appearance from Sujata Banerjee, with live musical accompaniment, completes the spectacular night.
This performance forms a part of Sujata Banerjee Dance Company’s Hemantika and Beyond and marks the closing event of South Asian Sounds.
