Royal College of Music, Performance Hall, SW7 2BS , [Venue Details]Inspired by The Lark Ascending, the folk-influenced work for violin and orchestra by RCM alumnus Vaughan Williams, this event features new chamber works by RCM composers using pre-recorded lark song.
Competition winners, chosen by a special panel, will be announced at the end of the event.
The Larks Ascending project is a collaboration between the Ralph Vaughan Williams Society, the Wildlife Sound Recording Society, the British Library’s Wildlife & Environmental Sounds department and the Royal College of Music, highlighting the declining numbers of skylarks in Britain.
