VILLA-LOBOS - Três poemas indígenas

An event honouring the heritage of the indigenous peoples of Latin America, and the end of European colonial rule in the early 19th century. This concert features works by two of the main Latin American composers of the 20th century, starting with Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Brazilian Cycle for solo piano. Alberto Ginastera’s Five Popular Argentinian Songs and Villa-Lobos’ Three Indigenous Poems for soprano and piano complete the programme.
