Andy Biersack grew up obsessed with monsters, real and imagined and with Batman, KISS, the Misfits, and The Phantom of the Opera. The evocative iconography of religion and complex feelings about his Catholic heritage fueled explorations of the arcane, primal, and often-destructive allure of belief. Sworn to a life of purpose through expression and convinced of the power of the outcast, Andy weaponised his fears and fascinations, culminating in the “birth” and ascension of Black Veil Brides.
