Classically trained on piano from the age of five and raised on gospel traditions, she developed a sound that blends technical precision with emotional depth.
Phebe's career spans an extensive list of collaborations and performances with artists including Adele, Macy Gray, Gabrielle, Jessie J, Stormzy, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Craig David, as well as singing a solo both with and for Soul legend James Brown at the BBC Electric Proms. From touring internationally to contributing to standout studio recordings and televised performances, she has earned a reputation as a vocalist, arranger, and vocal coach at the highest level of the industry.
For this special Upstairs at Ronnie's edition of Vula & Friends, Phebe Edwards steps in as a replacement for the originally scheduled Vula, bringing her signature warmth, range and emotional power to a night of soul, R&B and musical storytelling.
