@1.15pm

Pavlos Triantaris acquired his Ptychion (roughly equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree) in piano performance in 2010.

He has been indulging in the study of pipe organ literature and its liturgical use since his first acquaintance with the king of instruments at the age of 19 in his homeland, Greece; initially only with a meagre 10-stop instrument which was the only organ in proximity, and without a tutor available.

Even so, his enthusiasm for the organ resulted in numerous related appointments, not least among them his organist duty for the Hellenic premiere of Louis Vierne’s Missa Solemnis in 2016.

His organ instructors include Christos Paraskevopoulos, Jonathan Price, and Benjamin Chewter. He has served as organ scholar at Chingford Parish Church and accompanied the choir for services at major churches such as Christchurch Priory and Durham Cathedral.

His next appointment was at St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Brentwood, for a further scholarship. As of 2022, he is organist with Letchworth Traditional Anglican Church, the Traditional Anglican Cathedral of St Swithin (Lincoln City), and the Poscimur choir.
