‘Limerence’, the first offering from Saint Avangeline’s new collection of singles, emerged from a stream-of-consciousness writing session, then evolved into an otherworldly but ominous portrait of anguished infatuation. “When I wrote ‘Limerence’ it was meant to be a love song, because I’d never written one before but after I broke up with my partner and listened back, I realized it was a cry for help. The lyrics came to me when I was in an abusive relationship, and it was like my subconscious was writing something that I couldn’t yet understand.”
