Alex Young is one of the UK’s most versatile and celebrated musical theatre performers. She is currently starring as Helen Bechdel in Fun Home at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, and was recently nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award for her performance in Operation Mincemeat in the West End.
Her acclaimed stage career includes roles in Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Standing at the Sky’s Edge, Cold War, Into the Woods, South Pacific, Follies, Carousel, and Show Boat. A favourite at the Sheffield Crucible, she has collaborated extensively with directors Daniel Evans and Robert Hastie in productions including Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, She Loves Me and Coriolanus.
Renowned for her wit, warmth, and exceptional vocal talent, Alex has established herself as one of British theatre’s most distinctive leading ladies.
