Experience an evening of soul-stirring Bangladeshi folk music rooted in the Baul tradition set in the leafy Cross Rail Rooftop Gardens. Featuring Mahiran Nessa Jannat, Md Humaun Kabir, Rowshanara Moni and Baul Abdul Shohid. There will be English narration/summation of each song by bilingual poet T Ahmed M Kaysher.

This live event celebrates the rich heritage of Baul music from Lalon to Shah Abdul Karim. The concert will feature both traditional melodies and original compositions.

This event honours the Bengali folk tradition. Audiences will be taken on a musical journey that reflects spiritual expression and cultural identity. The evening will connect generations through music, storytelling, and poetic lyricism.

Maharin Nessa Jannat is a London-based Lalon singer from Kushtia. She plays the harmonium and khomok, bringing authenticity to her performances, rooted in heritage. A folk artist, her voice carries the soil of her roots. Through simple, evocative melodies, she shares stories of life, love, longing, and truth, passed from heart to heart.
