Sebright Arms, E2 9AG , [Venue Details]Cardiff-based North Walians Cyn Cwsg make bilingual alt-rock shaped by warm melodies, dry wit and jagged guitars. Their 2025 debut EP, ‘Pydru yn yr Haul’, earned support from BBC 6Music and led to a BBC Introducing session at Maida Vale.
Their newer material takes a looser, more angular turn. Tender single ‘Megan Plis’ sits alongside the chaotic upcoming ‘Mobius’, pairing spiky Television-esque guitars, off-kilter rhythms and flashes of psychedelia with the band’s instinct for an infectious chorus.
Following appearances at The Great Escape and Sŵn, and a place in this year’s Green Man Rising final, Cyn Cwsg are set to play Green Man this summer.
