Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra - Wagner, with Lorna McLean, soprano
Cadogan Hall, SW1X 9DQ , [Venue Details]The Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra continue its season at Cadogan Hall with conductor James Blair and award-winning soprano Lorna McLean in an all-Wagner programme, exploring some of the most powerful moments from the composer’s operatic masterpieces.
The concert begins with the Overture to Tannhäuser, where noble chorales and surging drama set the tone for the evening. This is followed by the Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde, music of extraordinary intensity and longing that remains among Wagner’s most profound creations.

The evening culminates in Brünnhilde’s Immolation scene, a blazing and transcendent finale that brings Wagner’s epic saga to its dramatic and emotional close.
