An album that is to be released on the same day, made entirely from samples of everyday food bank items such as pasta, cereal, tinned fruit, nappies and toilet roll, it represents the latest iteration of Herbert’s long-standing interest in food and the systems that underpin it.
With support from The Ivy House Foundation, all entrance proceeds of this event will be donated to the Pecan Southwark Foodbank, price is £13 or £7 (concession) and we will be collecting donations for the foodbank on the night. The top ten items the foodbank needs are: sanitary towels, tinned fish, coffee, tinned vegetables, biscuits, jam, tinned tomatoes, cereal, long-life milk, long-life juice.
About Pecan:
Pecan is a community charity based in Peckham that has been challenging poverty in Southwark since 1989. Pecan tackles poverty through three interconnecting areas: Financial & Food Resilience; Employment & Opportunity; and Safety, Belonging & Wellbeing, through which we provide a range of advice and guidance, emergency relief, workshops and training, peer support and safe, warm spaces.
