Steve's 9th Incarnation: Single Launch
Biddle Bros, E5 0QR , [Venue Details]Sad House Daddy presents the comeback special and new single launch for Steve's 9th Incarnation with support from The No Sorrows and The State Of The Art. Free entry!
The State of the Art is the solo project of Barry Straight from the band Splitworms.
Psych-folk-rock combo The No Sorrows combine soaring harmonies, melodic violin, shoegazey feedback, and a powerhouse rhythm section to produce a sound that has been compared to '60s Brit-folk icons Trees and Fairport Convention, with a droney dash of Neil Young.
The London-based project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Steve Head, Steve's 9th Incarnation, returns in 2026 with 'PERSPLEXTIVES' - an opulent, strings-laden 3-track EP beginning an extended run of new music. The music is psychedelic art-pop on a widescreen scale: ambitious, occasionally overblown, and fond of a big ending.
Steve’s 9th Incarnation first appeared with 2018’s '9th Incarnation', featuring members of Television Personalities, Japanese Television and The Clientele. 'PERSPLEXTIVES' opens a new chapter for the project, with two albums following in 2027.
