Not Me But Us

The Waiting Room, N16 0LH , [Venue Details]

The first ever UK show by Italian duo Not Me But Us – acclaimed Naples-based pianist and composer Bruno Bavota and electronic producer Fabrizio Somma.

Their debut album Two was released in March of this year to great acclaim and blends both of their influences with ambient, techno, 2000s club culture, post-classical and vague hints of post-rock.

“Italo-ambient enveloped in sensuous and soaring cosmic melodics” – Electronic Sound

“Shimmering Italian electronica... they create great orchestral washes of slow-moving sound” – Uncut

“Chicane meets Orbital meets Ulrich Schnauss… It’s one of those records that feels properly uplifting, and we can all do with a bit of that at this time of the year” – Moonbuilding

Support is from harp and synth duo Masal, who recently followed up their collaboration with Ride’s Andy Bell with a new album, The Galloping Cat, which combines synth drones with Turkish psych.

Special guest DJ for the evening is James Chapman, aka Mute recording artist Maps.
