The 2 times Montreux Jazz Piano Competition finalist teaming up with two legends of the British Jazz scene, Dave Green and Steve Brown resulted in a creative and sophisticated jazz piano trio. They will be presenting their new album, Westbourne Park at PizzaExpress Soho, which has just been released on Ubuntu Music.
A regular performer on the London and European jazz scene, Matyas has collaborated with the greats of jazz including Eddie Henderson, Scott Hamilton, Rick Margitza, Don Menza, Jim Rotondi, Luis Bonilla, Jesse Davis, Dusko Goykovich, Stjepko Gut, Grant Stewart, Don Braden, Carla Cook, etc. and appeared in the most illustrious jazz clubs such as Ronnie Scott's, PizzaExpress Soho, Montmartre Copenhagen, Porgy and Bess Vienna, Jazzkeller Frankfurt, Unterfahrt München, Bird's Eye Basel, Hot Club Lisbon, Half Note Athens, Jamboree Barcelona, Sunset Girona etc.
In 2022 he was part of a live recording at PizzaExpress, Soho with Don Braden and in 2023 a studio album recording with Scott Hamilton.
Matyas is releasing a new trio record on Ubuntu Music this year with legends of UK Jazz, bassist Dave Green and drummer Steve Brown.
