F*CHOIR HOT CHOIR SUMMER GIG

Moth Club, E9 6NU , [Venue Details]

F*Choir is an all-genders, queer-led choir that reimagines choral singing as a radical declaration of love and resistance. They refute binary choral traditions, with no auditions or assumptions on gender, origin or sexuality.

Monday,
15 Jul 2024
Doors open @7.30pm

Led by composer and multidisciplinary artist Jenny Moore and now 60-people strong, F*Choir gathers voices and bodies to perform an expansive landscape of songs that spotlight criminally underrepresented feminist music from women, trans, non-binary and queer artists. Urgent songs drawn from pop, R&B, punk, experimental art and liberation music traditions; from Meredith Monk, Planningtorock and JD Samson, to Lauryn Hill, Muna and Beverley Glenn Copeland. Spirited, high energy, full body singing and complex ear-worms to help you stay warm to revolution

Support + DJ:

Etaf is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in London. Raised in Kuwait and with Palestinian and Lebanese roots, Etaf is proudly part of the Arabic diaspora and their music draws on their Arabic heritage. Known for creating a genre-defying sound, Etaf brings a bold authenticity and strength to their music. Blending Arabic scales, singing and emotional melodies with elements of rap, harmonies and fast street beats.
