In August 2023, London-based singer/guitarist/songwriter/bandleader Ese Okorodudu and her floating multi-national, multi-racial collective, The Vooduu People played a two-hour, sell out show – missing jazz, soul, Afrobeat and improvised rock at Holborn, from which 'Jazz Is What We Say It Is!' has been extracted. Ese (guitar/vocals) is joined by many of the musicians who played on that album – and after the show physical copies will be available for sale, before they are available on Bandcamp and elsewhere.
Born and raised in Bermondsey, South London of Nigerian (Yoruba) heritage, Ese Okorodudu is a musician, singer, songwriter, bandleader and performer currently based in the East of the capital and is the founder and leader of the floating musical collective known as Ese & The Vooduu People.
