Dream, Ivory
Moth Club, E9 6NU , [Venue Details]Eat Your Own Ears presents:
Dream, Ivory
Formed in 2016 by Southern California-based Filipino-American brothers Christian and Louie Baello.
Known for their cult hit “welcome and goodbye”, which as of October 2024 has amassed over 200 million Spotify streams (mostly within 2023-2024) and was certified Gold by the RIAA on July 31, 2024, the band originally existed in the shoegaze and dreampop corners of the indie world but expanded their sound with pop-punk and alt-rock influences in their 2022 debut record ‘About A Boy’ (released via AWAL). Currently the band is wrapping up a new record that they look to release in 2025.
On the upcoming record: "With our upcoming album, we let our instincts take control of what we made - the sound itself guided us in a way. We took our time with this one, allowing us to really delve into new styles. We also revisited our older production techniques in order to capture some of the emotion of our older music, such as mixing and pedal combinations, etc. Louie's bass lines have more of an intricacy to them while still maintaining it's signature melodic drive. Christian's guitar lines are stacked and sweet. Our music is sounding as dreamy as ever, but with a small bit of the grit we heard on the last album."
