Jamie Pye is a London-based jazz guitarist and composer with roots in both Australia and New Zealand.

His compositions are complex and harmonically rich, while remaining musically accessible to all ears.

Drawing influence from all music and art and traditions, he pays particular attention towards the work of composers and bandleaders Brian Blade, Kendrick Scott, Petros Klampanis, Aaron Parks, Mike Moreno and Gilad Hekselman.

In April 2023, Jamie completed his first 10-date national tour with his quartet around Aotearoa. Funded by the New Zealand Music Commission, the quartet carried out shows throughout both islands including appearances at the Creative Jazz Club in Auckland and Hanover Hall on behalf of the Dunedin Jazz Club. In between tour dates, Jamie and his quartet recorded his debut album ‘Monochrome’, scheduled for release on November 28.
