The church has enjoyed a fine reputation for music since its early days, maintained high-quality professional music for much of the last century.
There have been distinguished organists, including Edwin Lemare, Walter Alcock and john Ireland (1879-1962) the great English composer of church music (including Greater Love, and My song is love unknown) as well as instrumental and orchestral works (including the Epic March)
