Taking their name from the women who worked on the canals and waterways during WW2, Jane Rouse, Charlie Henry and Steph Pirrie sing and play tunes on strings, reeds, wind and percussion.

It was in 1967 that Pete Atkin met Clive James, the late legendary Australian writer and broadcaster. Almost immediately they started writing songs together in what turned out to be a lifelong collaboration.

Counter’s Creek is an acoustic folk band who play original music inspired by the folk music of the British Isles and beyond.

The songs Phil and Sarah sing are mainly traditional, learned from versions by folk legends like Shirley Collins, Bob Copper, Martin Carthy and Peggy Seeger.

Their instrumental music (guitar, banjo and ukulele) also feels steeped in tradition. It is minimal, but exudes heart and passion.

Sound of the Sirens is a singer-songwriting duo based in Exeter, Devon, comprising Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood.
