Somerset-born singer-songwriter Tom Scamell moved to London last year and quickly gained attention for his blues-driven guitar-and-vocal style.

Robb Johnson’s songwriting acknowledges a spectrum of influences from folk to punk, Billie Holiday to The Velvet Underground, but he has an enduring affinity with the European tradition of literate song.

Robb Johnson says he’s just a bloke with a guitar. He is. But he’s one who has chronicled our times: painting the less-than-sunny political landscape in the moonlight of the personal. Just like a folk singer should.

Kitty Whitelaw is a Scottish Jazz Musician based in London. Her recent musical endeavours have become more influenced by folk music, so this inspired her to create “Riffin’ The Scotch” (named after the 1933 Billie Holiday/Bennie Goodman tune).
